CLARKSVILLE, TN – In recognition of World Prematurity Month, Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville has launched its NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) Family Library.
The library is available to parents whose children are cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit. The library was made possible by Blue Star Families, Imagination County Library of Montgomery-Dolly Parton, Volunteer Auxiliary Tennova Clarksville, Small Free Library, and Daisy 4022 Boy Scout Troop.
Parents with children at the NICU can choose a book to read from the library when visiting with their child.
Tennova also renewed her commitment to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library by using Tennova volunteers and staff to work with our new parents to sign up for the free program before they leave the hospital.
Laura Hoffman, Supervisor of Youth Services and Outreach at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library says, “Imagination of Montgomery County Library is thrilled to partner with Tennova to put books in hands and hearts. children in our community from birth to age 5. children will receive specially selected, high-quality, age-appropriate books sent directly to their homes.
